You need to wait for one of William Sonoma's coupons.CPNY wrote:I'm seeing the BDB at $1300. Same price as the new Lelit Elizabeth DB. 1st line has the Mara Hx at 999 with build in PID (fixed temp). I'm leaning that way since maintenance on HX is most likely easier?

You can get em brand new for $999 or a hair more pretty often

Hope you're making the right choice with the BDB. Good luck.

I'm not heading down the Breville path. Something about their longevity I question. The only plus would be buying it from BBB because they take everything back. I'm still on the lelit Mara or Silvano train. I already set up a WiFi smart plug connected to Alexa to turn the machine on when I wake up more importantly WLL recommended the baratza vario. Thoughts?nngnng wrote:Hope you're making the right choice with the BDB. Good luck.

Actually, the return policy at BBB has changed and it's now 1 year from the date of purchase, receipt required on all large electrical items, such as vaccium cleaners, espresso machines, mixers, etc.

I think the BDB is out then lol. It's the lelit Mara / Sette 270 combo. I hope I'm making the right choice

I think for the price of the lelit Mara it's a much nicer build and HX seems to work well for me being that I can have the machine on a smart plug to turn on from bed. The grinder is where I'm all over the place. Just when I was sette on the sette. See what I did there ha. FYI I'm on my 6th shot so far. I'm leaning toward a ceado e5.

I think you are going to be happy with Lelit Mara as your espresso machine choice. Have you considered the Niche Zero?? It's a really nice, capable little grinder and a great bang for your buck.
