Hi all, I read some old posts that says the vivaldi requires flushes, because the brew group temp is not that stable. See one link below. I have not read anything recent that mentions this issue. Is this issue only on old models?
Thx, Theo.

I flush my S1 Vivaldi II following the directions as noted in the thread you reference:

"A) Program one button to dispense 2 to 2.5 ounces of water.
B) Leave the portafilter in the group.
C) Press the button and dispense the 2 to 2.5 ounces. This heats up the portafilter and triggers the heater to come on.
D) Now take portafliter out of group shake out water and dry. Now fill with ground coffee and tamp.
E) By the time you do that the last light will stop blinking. Start the brew. If you repeat that each time the temperature is easily repeatable."

And as it states in step E by the time I get ready to brew the temp light stops flashing and it is ready to go.

While heat exchanger machines require a flush to cool down, a double boiler usually benefits from a warm up flush.
