Without commenting as to how good the machine is or isn't, which I don't know, if you're ok with paying for a two group spirit anyway, what do you have to lose by getting in touch with KVDW and asking if they can custom make you a single group spirit if that's what you really want? The worst that can happen is that they will say no, in which case you're in no worse a position than you are in now. But you might find that they find the challenge a bit of fun. Having said all of that, only ask if you're prepared to pay quite a bit for it. It's not like it will be half the price of a two group.

Personally, I think I'd find the heat up time and electricity consumption a bit much.
