The HG 1 grinder is sold by Craig Lynn and by Weber Workshops-- I understand they used to be partners and have gone separate ways. Are they both selling the exact same grinder or are there differences? And what about support?

Same grinders. if you are in the U.S. I would use Craig Lyn design studios if you need anything .

I recently bought an HG-1 from weber workshops and it looks like they use the same 83mm burrs but the weber work shops has a proprietary step on the burrs and the TiN coating.

How was the break in process? Did you need to grind minute rice to break in the burrs or was it pretty good from the start? I guess I'm trying to understand the Weber "pre seasoning".
