Hi there, first time poster here... I've been looking at a few different machines for my first big purchase. Mara X, Profitec 400 or 500... One thing I really want is an insulated steam wand but I just learned that teflon is commonly used. I know they say it's safe at around steaming temps but I'd rather just avoid it. Are there any machines that use an alternative? I saw something about silicone, which I'd probably be fine with. Or maybe if not i'll just not get an insulated wand. Any tips would be great. Thanks!

Hi, with most machines that include a burn free steam wand, the silicone can be removed without much fuss. Good luck.

La Marzocco Micra uses dual-walled stainless. I believe the Linea Mini and probably the GS/3 do as well.
