Hey guys,

Some good friends of mine are just getting into coffee, they got a Chemex Ottomatic to handle the morning routine and I took them a Hario hand grinder. At 60 to 70 grams of arm work and just ok consistency, it's not really measuring up. I'd love to get them set up with an electric, no frills, just good grind performance in the medium to medium fine range.

looking for suggestions under 300.00

Thanks for your help

Capresso Infinity does an admirable job and retails for less. Half the price and the timer knob never falls off.
Swiss made burrs. Jura-Capresso is a Swiss company.

Between order and chaos there is espresso.

The virtuouso got a burr upgrade after that comparison was done. Take that with a grain of salt.

OK both have Swiss burrs. The Infinity is 1/2 the cost. Take that with some salt-n-pepa.

Best bang for your buck, short of Bunnzilla, will be B. Vario with the steel burr set, refurbished, just a little over your budget. Otherwise, I concur with Virtouso over Infinity, though the difference in quality is slight.

Great, thank you for the reply's. I had an infinity for years, but that was back in my oily bean french press days and really had no idea how it performed.
I just found a used Virtuoso on CL for 50.00 that I think I'll pick up for them.

Is it easy to replace burrs on these?
