$350 from Weber - gorgeous, doesn't fit my income though :D I was looking at this shop on Etsy for ~$130 with a wooden base and glass tubes with a one way degas valve:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/1111890547 ... 2303870400

But then, I don't think I really need a wood base (as nice as they look) so started thinking of going this route:

Stainless Steel Test Tube Rack - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S9BW93Y
60ml (or 50ml?) Test Tubes - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C167YSW?th=1

Only thing is, these don't come with a degas valve. Is there somewhere I can buy a degas valve for the tubes?

Though at that point, I suppose that I'm not saving much money off the Etsy shop.

Any advice or tips? Just looking to get myself a nice tube setup to streamline my AM process.

I have a set of the semi opaque LW bean vaults and a home made caddy you can have for $50.00 + actual shipping.

[SOLD] Lyn Weber Bean Vaults with Caddy

They've been sold a couple times but something always fell through. They are packaged up and ready to ship.

The plastic Weber workshop tubes are much cheaper, but the shipping charge is expensive. I've got three dozen of the Craig Lyn equivalent: https://craiglyn.com/product/bean-vaults/
I've also found that 2 oz and 4 oz mason jars work just fine for single and double doses respectively, even without vacuum sealing. Since my routine for caffeinated shots is to only drink two a day, 4 oz mason jars actually do a good job. If you get/have a chamber vacuum machine, you can even seal 4 oz jars.

Do those have a degas valve? If so, and OP doesn't want them, I'll take them.

Of course all the Jarvials (glass) tubes are "currently unavailable.

I did find these:

https://www.amazon.com/Clear-Plastic-Tu ... 76-6125923

though. Question: is plastic an acceptable material? Is glass (or metal?) the only choice?

Currently I dose into ziplock bags, which I put in the drawer by the machine. Easy and simple. But that too is plastic.

Just use falcon tubes. Degassing would happen through the seal of the screw cap if it happens. I cross posted in another thread that I use CO2 from a soda stream to degas after filling them, and a 50mL tube holds 21g of beans. Lots of different manufacturers, here is a cheap one that sells on Amazon:

Why do you need the valve? Are you planning to move the beans into the vials shortly after roasting? I move the beans to the vials (cheap ones bought off aliexpress) 9 days after roasting and have had zero issues.

I've got both Craig Lyn and Weber vaults. The nice thing about the Lyn vaults is they are a clear plastic and less expensive than the Weber frosted plastic tubes. Using the Lyn vaults you can put them in the freezer and if you should drop them, no big deal. I custom made my own holders for one cabinet for the Lyn tubes out of some scrap Ipe and a forester bit. Very easy to do and works great.
Old baristas never die. They just become over extracted.
