hi fellow canucks,
Where do you recommend buying an espresso machine? I am thinking Lelit, so many places carry them. I don't mind buying online.
Has anyone recently purchased a Lelit bianca? The list price is the same everywhere but how much wiggling room do you think the stores have?
thanks

Idrinkcoffee.com is about the best place near Toronto - it's in Milton.
No other place gives you as much selection that I know of.

I see you already have an S1 Mini. If you're looking for something capable of profiling, it may be worth looking into the Decent machines.Petrus wrote:hi fellow canucks,

As for getting a deal, often times manufacturers will have a minimum advertised price that they set for all retailers but you may be able to get a better deal if you ask. Another way to get around the price limitations is to get the machine with some accessories and ask for a discount on the accessories. Seeing that you'd be moving from. 53mm to 58mm portafilter, you could ask for tampers, baskets, etc.

I also recommend idrinkcoffee.com
I bought my espresso machine and grinder from them.
The espresso machine came on a wood pallet to ensure safe shipping.
They often have 10% sale but if I remember well Lelit are excluded from those promo.
You can at least collect rewards points (100$ value for the Bianca).
This machine is also included in their VIM program, means 2 years warranty and 2 ways shipping included if any repairs are needed during this period.

+1 for idrnkcoffee - nothing but excellent experiences for me. Espresso works in Calgary and Cafetech in Edmonton are also great to deal with IMHO.

Within the G.T.A. Espressoplanet also has a good selection.
Between order and chaos there is espresso.

+1 IDC. But if you happen to be on the left coast and want a more local supplier, then Zcafe.

There's also Caffe Tech & Creative Coffee. I've bought from both in the past with good luck.
