Hi fellow forum members, appreciate some advice on which grinder to choose between the following 3:
1. Macap M42D
2. Nuova Simonelli MDX On Demand Coffee Grinder
3. Niche Zero
All 3 would be in the same price range for me, but will have to wait till April for NZ
I have recently graduated to breville dual boiler from an Infuser and feel need to change my breville smart grinder. However, consumption is low, on average 2 to 3 espresso a day (2 of those milk drinks).
Always wanted to get the NZ for single dosing and workflow appeal, but have an opportunity to acquire the other two at significant discount, through a commercial supplier. Will they be too much, given low consumption or are these buy once and forget grinders worth investing in?
All experience are appreciated.

I would pass the m42d since it is 58mm grinder.
I recommend MDX or niche. But, not sure which one is better for you. Would go with niche since you mentioned single doing, though.
I eureka zenith 65 usually is cheaper than NS MDX, while it is the same machine essentially. Or, it is better to go with Atom 65 for more kitchen friendly size.
Ceado ep6 also is a good option with close price where you can swap burrs with ssp ones--that would add another 200+USD, though.

Thanks for your feedback, let me look into these grinders that you mentioned, however increasingly Niche looking like the viable option. Single dosing would be better for the low consumption we have.

I would go for the Niche. It is an excellent single dose grinder and would not look back.

I had an M4D once, I believe the predecessor to the M42D and unless they've made a lot of changes, it's a horrible home grinder. More retention than I could possibly imagine and the exit chute leaked into the grinders internals. So like the others, from what I've read, the Niche seems best.
