Just bought Segafredo intermezzo.

Wow. Almost as good as Kimbo Superior for half the price. Amazing deal at 15$ cad the Kilo. It will become a steady bean for me and may even replace the Caffe Motta. Im alternating between Motta and Segafredo and I constantly prefer the segafredo.
Something noticeable with segafredo is it really needs to be grinded very fine.

nope, segafredo is very good, but the cafe mota perfectly tuned in is amazing!
both are good but the cafe motta is really really delicious if you tune it just right.

If you try Danesi, please buy the Danesi Gold Quality (not classic)which is stunning especially for latte drinks. You will be surprised by the blend. This is my all time favorite.
Give it a go and let us know.

I was pleasantly surprised by Kimbo Top Flavour. I feel it pulls best as a ristretto around the 1.5 brew ratio range.murphythecat87 wrote:I use the Kimbo superior blend espresso bar.

im using Lounge bar beans right now.gr2020 wrote:Which Caffe Motta are you using?
I find this batch very very good. I begin to wonder if its the same caffe motta that I used before. maybe the one I had before was the espresso bar, anyhow the lounge bar is very good!
edit: yes, I think I used to buy the espresso bar which was also good, but I find the lounge bar range probably better. one thing though, is it need a couple of days after the bag have been opened to really get good.

I received my bag of Kimbo Extra Cream from EspressoZone last week. I like everything about it except for the aftertaste. I wish I'd never heard someone equate robusta to "burn rubber" because that's exactly what lingers in the background of the shot. It makes a great milk drink however where the aftertaste is masked. I doubt I will order it again since CC's FORTY-SIX is very similar but without the wonky aftertaste. What it does have going for it is the fact that it was roasted 2 months ago! I don't think FORT-SIX would fair quite as well 2 months post roast.
This weekend I will be trying Kimbo Superior Blend.

yeah, kimbo is really range dependant.
