That is an awesome looking roaster. In regards to the FZ-RR 700, I bought one, modified it with an agitator for more even roasts, and was unimpressed with the quality of the product, so I designed a larger stainless steel model. See my icon. I do not belong to the club that believes airflow has anything to do with smoky tasting coffee. I also own a Torrefattore made by the same company that makes the FZ-RR 700. The Torrefattore has a massive blower and I have never noticed smoky taste from any of my roasters.
