Thank you for that info. I obviously have never played with a Bunn other than to grind a bag of beans at the market.

I could see a 3D Printer making a slick little spout to fit on it; do you think that would work?

I'm sure you could, but once you got used to it I doubt you'd want to change it. That spring loaded handle really helps to knock loose any grounds hanging on so I'm not sure I'd want a spout that didn't have it. I would think about taking an inch off the bottom though. That would be fairly easy to do and would make catching all the grounds even easier.

It is all fun, and you have stumbled onto a rarity with that short variant. Did Bunn ever respond to inquiries?

Here is what I got from Bunn:

E-mail response #1

"Thank you for contacting BUNN® Commercial Technical Services, please note that
your machine was made in our BUNN® Canada, you may contact them for more
information and perhaps manuals, thanks."

E-mail response #2 from Bunn Canada

"Please note that our Serial numbers now have 10 digits and start with letters and end with number
that was the reason this unit was not in our database any more.

I am not able to find any documentation on your unit at all, I checked in the archives and was not
able to find any information on your unit, I did talk to one of our Tech's that has been working for
BUNN® for many years and He tells me that most of the parts for the G1 should work on it, sorry
that is all I can offer you on this unit."

At least they responded, but to bad that they did not say anything about the date of birth. You would then have an idea of what or where to look.

It is still a nice machine :)
