Nuova Simonelli Oscar neplax valve issue?

Hello all,
I recently had my oscar in for an upgrade. The Simonelli agents added the Sirai and replaced a faulty boiler pressure valve. I also had the grouphead gasket changed.
When I got my machine back, I noticed that I have not heard the "whoosh" of the neplax opening. There is some water in the tray, but this could possibly be from the OVP? In addition, for 90% of the time, when removing the portafilter, the puck is stuck to the shower screen, and is very wet.
I see they replaced the gasket (which was the newer flat one), with an older model angled one. The portafilter definitely seals better. I had to turn the porta to 4-5 o'clock, whereas now, it seals between 6-7 o'clock.
Could this be an issue with the puck too close to the screen, or a neplax issue? Or is this a non-issue?
