My Giotto is playing up and I have no idea what the problem is?
When I switch it on a pump starts and does not stop! When it reaches temperature a pressure valve pours steam and hot water out. Can anyone give me an idea of what the problem may be? I miss my morning coffee SO much!
Hoping I can get it fixed quickly

On the boiler there is a wire that attaches to a water level sensing rod inside the boiler. If you remove the wire and ground it to the surface of the boiler or other suitable location (frame member, bracket, etc._) and turn the machine on, does the pump stop?
If YES - then the water level sensor is scaled and needs to be removed and cleaned (descaled). And the boiler should be inspected for internal scaling as well.
If NO - Then it could be a number of things including:
- a bad or corroded connection for the level sensing wire at the control box
- the wire itself could be bad (check the ends where they are crimped into the connectors)
- a bad control box
...and some other things that Eric can help us with...
