A friend recommended this place to me which apparently ships directly from Costa Rica. A search revealed that this is a larger outfit, so I am naturally distrustful. It looks more like they're offering "premium" coffee, not specialty coffee.

Has anyone every ordered from them?

How do they compare to really good U.S. based roasters?

I was in CR recently, and saw a few Cafe Britt shops. It's a touristy chain, personally I'd stay away. A general rule that I follow with coffee is to assume the best crop is exported as green. Whenever I visit a coffee producing country, I bring in my own coffee for consumption, but I might buy greens to take back. If you want good CR coffee, you'll find it from a specialty roaster in the US.
