Astoria Argenta JUN volumetrics won't program

I just started playing with an Astoria Argenta JUN and I can't get the volumetrics to program. When I got the machine, the dose buttons would just dispense indefinitely, until I pushed them again to shut them off. I tried programming them (flip the program switch, push the program button, push the desired dose button on and off, flip the program switch off) and when I push them again, nothing happens. Of course, I can use the manual switch, but I would like to use the volumetrics. Any ideas why it's not working?

Check the flow meter. Sometimes the wiring has bad or dirty contacts, but more often, if there is any scale build up, the pinwheel on the inside can't spin freely.

When water is flowing through the group, does the led on top of the flow meter flash?
