Stainless Steel vs Copper Boilers?

A few times I have seen it mentioned that people prefer stainless boilers over copper. It is my understanding that copper boilers are more common. I think the new LUCCA M58 has stainless steel boilers. It is my understanding that the only mention of an advantage of one over the other is the reduction or complete elimination of leeching. I don't really know how much of a problem leeching actually is. And, are there any significant advantages of one over the other?
Just curious.

Stainless is a lot less prone to scale, and a physically tougher material.
Even with an SS boiler, the other components are still vulnerable to scale though - the heat element, valves etc.
