Feeling like the village idiot as I stared at my machine wondering how I access the internal parts. Is there a manual out there that would tell me how to take apart the unit?

I had it turned on and it began to make a clicking/tapping sound as a small stream of water flowed out from the backwash outlet. The Press/Stop pad is flashing. I turned off machine and await any advice. I am trying to avoid sending machine cross-country for repair.

Does the clicking sound like relays clicking in? i.e. similar to the sound you hear about 1.5 seconds after turning the machine on? Is the pump running as the water flows out? Maybe you could post a video.

If the water is coming out it means its coming through the 3-way solenoid or from the OPV via the pump. That Solenoid defaults to being closed to the HX and open between the group and the outlet.

If you go to home-barista.com/downloads, use this file: Bezzera_BZ99_Parts.pdf. The Livia is a rebranded Bezzera. This is what I use for my own auto.

Honestly, it sounds like an issue with the CPU or safety relay, but I'm no electronic specialist. I'm having somewhat similar problems myself: Pasquini Livia 90 leaks from grouphead while filling boiler

Cheers,
Michael

Thanks Michael- My machine when turned on heats the water and I get a great pressure reading,so I get my coffee. If I walk away from the machine I soon her clicking noises which is caused by PROG/Stop button clicking on and off and the water is flowing out of the machine as though i asked it to make a cup of coffee so I turn it off. At this point I get some light water flow from the drain on the lower right hand corner.

If I try backflushing I may or may not see water flow from that same drain.

Pasquini techs in LA said i need to clean the 3-way
