Haven't seen any discussion of this yet, so I figured I'd start a thread. If anyone is considering this machine, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Closest competitors would seem to be the Izzo Alex Duetto and the Rocket R58.

Features:
  • E61 group head
PID controller for the group boiler (adjustable 1.0° Celsius or Fahrenheit)
PID controller also controls the steam boiler temperature/pressure
Integrated shot timer accurate to the tenth of a second
    Pump pressure gauge
    Steam pressure gauge
    Heating indicator lights
No Burn, stainless steel steam and hot water arms
Joystick steam and hot water valves
Ruveco Teck treated insulated copper boilers
    Vertically placed rotary pump
Resettable hi-limit to protect the heating element
Water reservoir with a low water sensor
Direct connect option (braided water line included)
15 or 20 amperage operational mode
Two year parts and labor provided by Clive Coffee.

It's a nice looking machine that surely warrants its own thread, but it was discussed in this thread as an alternative to the Rocket R58:

Considering a Rocket R58 V2. Any final considerations?

Oh geez. I actually did search, but only in Espresso Machines and not in Buying Advice. Lesson learned; thanks for the link.

FYI, I've moved this thread to Buying Advice from Espresso Machines...

If a discussion is about advantages/disadvantages of a particular model related to a purchase decision, we move them to Buying Advice. The Espresso Machine forum is more geared towards actual owners and sharing tips/tricks about using said equipment.

OH. MY. GOSH. I bet my reaction was the same as almost everyone else when they saw this update on the Clive site. Never saw it coming, can't wait to go down there and test drive the Lucca M58 for you! Maybe Mark will even let me film some tests :P I really can't believe how much they've improved upon the Vetrano 2B. Symmetry really gives the machine more of a face.

That Black Friday special looked awesome, brought it right down to the R58's price point.

It was a ridiculous day. I'm just downloading videos from my camera now. The Lucca products are so polished and well thought out. Internally the same as my Vetrano 2b, but a very different experience that I loved.
