After descale, brew pressure dropping slowly during shot - diagnosis?

Hello All,
I have a VBM Domobar Super Manual machine and have been using it without problems since 2010. I recently descaled the machine and it started behaving weirdly. I'll try to describe this as accurately as possible. While brewing a shot, the pressure rises to the correct bar pressure, around 9.5 bars. Then around 10 seconds into the shot, the pressure drops slowly to around 7.5 to 8 bars. In your estimation, is the pump failing?
