2002 machine for pop-up business?

Hi guys!
I'm looking into buying a second hand, 12-year old La Speziale S2 Ek. Apparently, the model is still being manufactured by the company -- though I'm not sure if it's exactly the same one 12 years ago.
From the outset, there's no PID. Shot volumes seem to be programmable, and it circulates steam. Sparse videos on youtube seem to make it promising. Is it hard to get a consistent 200F, 9 bar on a 2002 machine?
Will I just frustrate myself with a dinosaur? Or will I make my pop up business serve customers faster?
Currenlty, I'm using a Breville 870xl for my coffee gigs. The most I've had to make was 5 8oz. lattes straight -- really could use a 2 group machine! It would also be a good training to work with another barista-in-training.
