Do not assume you are getting what is in the online picture..
They do not come with adjustable drum speed controller or hard exhaust tubes.. They will change electronics brands as well.. Ask for Fotek Brand electronics..

If they don't come with an adjustable speed controller you can certainly ask for one and they'll install it. Mine has one.

When it comes to ordering your North, you'll to talk to some fellow Ozzies who have walked the road before you. Oz is not the US.

I remember speaking to Tim from north coffee around 2 years ago, the company has come a long way.
If i order one ill go through the agents, will be a lot easier that i reckon.
There is something else that caught my fancy and i am intrigued by the concept, plan on ordering one before the end of the year.

So it does have an internal afterburner, which i find interesting. it obviously runs on electricity, its fairly priced at 6k+Shipping.

About the Imex, it's not a built in afterburner, rather recirculation. The exhusts goes somewhere, i.e. back to the beans and recirculates in the roaster. That is rather part of the electric heating design, as the heat (smoke recircualtion is actually a side-effect) needs to be recirculated for the roaster to be decently effective. If no smoke comes out there will be a lot of dirt building up (there could and should be an effective filter installed) ... and of course possibly the issue of a smokey flavour in the coffee. Somewhere there's a warning about "there may be some smoke in very dark roasts...", which may be a warning sign.
Also, it's automatic by design, whereas the TJ-067 is fully manual. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with automatic roasters, but for myself, I just orderered a fully manual gas roaster. I intend to use Artisan software with some thermocouplers to log and possiby mimic/repeat successful roasts.
Given seasonal (even daily) changes in external temperature, humidity etc. a fully automatic approach will probably only compensate for the current external temperature. In the end, the roast profile you programmed to perfection a month ago will not yield the same result the next time.
I'm not sure, as I don't understand korean, but I take it the idea is for a specialist (in coffee roasting) to program the roaster for "any" staff to just press the button(s) and duplicate the roast. Given the look of the machine, with smoke recirculation etc. it's intended to be a showpiece in an uptown coffee shop, much the same as e.g. the 1000 g Gene Cafe.
Last, it may be a ripoff of the Solar design. Possibly also patent issues.
Scuse the rant, but the thing I'm trying to say (ar ask) is whether you want to concentrate on roasting coffee and doing that in the best way you possibly can... Or do you want to have your coffee roasted in-house, possibly on a show-piece in e.g. an uptown cafe.
Lots of things to concider.

Thank you for information Bjorn, the only thing that fascinated me was was the afterburner.
Well, i guess north coffee is a safe and a good bet over all.
Thank you
