Wega Mininova overheating

Hi everyone
I acquired my Mininova secondhand from a bar that retired it because it 'needed new parts'.
It actually works fine, except the boiler heater doesn't cut out when it gets to operating pressure. I've checked the microswitch on the pressurestat and it's ok, and bridging that circuit makes no difference.
Does this mean that the relay circuit to the boiler element is faulty, and does this necessarily require a new control unit?
