For years now I have heard of the legendary "Flat White", developed by mythical Kiwi nanotech Baristas, but when I have tried one here in the US, all I get is a latte. First, what is the real difference between a latte and a flat white, and where can I find a legit flat white in the Seattle area?

I just got back from nz actually. A flat white there is basically a cortado in the states.

Only Americans like the 8+ oz milk drinks that saturate the market.

In Oz, it's just whether it's in a glass (latte) or cup (FW). You might get less foam with a flat white. Most drinks are in the 6-8oz range if not bigger.
