I love the unusual way this lever acts, and I question myself about the role of this tiny spring in the middle.

One has to admire the engineering that has gone into the execution of this group!

Thanks for going to the effort of making the clips of the tear-down and re-building, Blumes....whilst I don't own this machine I found it quite interesting.
