110 inch pounds to turn the crank w/71mm burrs, City Roast beans. Should be about the same with 83mm TiN burrs.FotonDrv wrote:I just went and marked the burr and turned the crank. 1:1 is whats happening. Now to measure the inch pounds or foot pounds of effort to turn the crank. Breaking out the torque wrench soon

My HG one is now screw-mounted to the countertop. Makes grinding light roasts so much easier!

he Bean Loading Cone/Funnel I make weighs 4 pounds and all but eliminates the hopping on the counter and has a couple of other benefits as well.

I am working in a very small space so I prefer the screw-mounting. It's foolproof, and I can't risk having the grinder move as I might bang my hands against the cabinets while grinding. However, I am curious about your cone/funnel invention. Is there a dedicated thread or a particular website where I can learn more about its benefits?

There are photos and discussion about it in HG-One Mods Thread.
and this I generated.

I did not invent the idea of a loading funnel for the beans, I just elaborated on what HG-One provides.
