A big thanks to Stephen Sweeney first off. He sent me one of his spare wiper blades for the HG-One, which matched identically the one I took out, so I'd have a spare if it didn't work out.

Fortunately, it did, and the HG-One is now back to dead silent operation with no effect on the output of the grind path. I put in 18.20g and got out 18.15g. Those little plastic nubbies on the corners of the wiper blade have to go. A quick 20 second job with a file had them smooth and straight cut even with the arms of the wiper. Now it grinds just like it did before with no squealing coming from that plastic sliding against the outer burr.

Glad that worked out for you Tom :) BTW, it is Stephen so as to not confuse people

I have not had time to mess with mine yet.

You are talking about filing the parts of the wiper that point up toward the burrs aren't you?

Yep, the little points that make contact with the outer, fixed burr. Sorry for the typo, I'll fix it now

Cool! I will go get out a finger nail fill and grind those off! Thanks.
