The Zojirushi boiler is 4L plus pump, heater and housing, so nobody holds it over anything. I just put the Bonovita dripper (Clever works great, too) on a scale, slide them together under the boiler spout, tare the scale and push the boiler button. Both coffee and water are measured by weight.
