I did a little fun rust test with the springs using a homemade "rust accelerator" solution I made...

Here's what the new spring looked like before and after minute in the solution.



And as expected the original spring had no reaction to the solution.

Thank you for bringing it up! We are soon to have a new retailer and may have the spring problem solved. Some stainless steel is not really stainless!
I hope to do much better in the future.
