I've been putting in more time with the Huky thanks to Susan. I'm not a fan of turning the heat off if not necessary, the MET drops too fast. So I found a declining gas setting works pretty good getting the BT and ET to converge at the end of the roast with more control. Sorry but I roast in C* no data logging.

Charge at 200*C, low air (first detent on dimmer), 75mmaq gas (.75kpa), 200*C ET.
At the turn, 1:30. @90*C, low air, 4kpa gas, 122*C ET
150*C, @5:00, low air (high air bump), 3kpa gas, 170*C ET
160*C, @6:00, low air (high bump), 2kpa gas, 179*C ET
170*C, @6:38, low air (high bump), 1kpa gas, 188*C ET
180*C, @7:20, slight increase air (high bump), 1kpa gas, 195*C ET
190*C @8:10, same air as above (high bump), 75mmaq gas, 200*C ET
200*C @9:22, same air as above (high bump), 75mmaq gas, 205*C ET - first crack
210*C @12:21 same air as above (high air last 15 sec), 3:00 RD, 211*C ET - end of roast

50mmaq (.5kpa) is the lowest my stock regulator runs without flame out issues, so I'll use that setting as well during the last roasting phase.

An apology in advance for a slight detour:
Where in Artisan do you guys configure what is giving you the lines for Power and for Fan there at the bottom of the graph. I haven't got those set up.

Got one of my best roasts so far with the profile below. Charged at about 400F, turnaround at 255F (1:52), dry at 319F (4:44), FC start at 395F (8:24), FC end at 417F (9:56), dropped at 424 F (10:40). Batch size was 190 grams. My general strategy with the Huky is to try to get the MET to gradually track upward from 400F at charge to 450F at first crack and then to back off on the heat. I also gradually increased air from turnaround to completion, when it was at about 50% of the Huky fan capacity.

Coffee was a Guatemalan xinabajul that I got from a friend, I believe it is this: http://www.coffeeshrub.com/shrub/coffee ... -xinabajul At least the taste matched the profile and it made a delicious single-origin espresso.
