What do you with a roast that just didn't turn out to taste good no matter how you prepare the drink?

If it's a large batch (> 1 pound) donate it to a battered woman's shelter or charity of your choice. As long as it has basic "coffee flavor" and isn't so sour or astringent/ bitter that your dog wouldn't drink it, then 90% of the coffee consuming public would likely love to have it.

I give it to my daughter. She takes it to her office; they'll drink anything and seem to like it.

Feed it to civets to see if further "processing" might improve the flavor?

Shoe cabinet deodorizer. Pretty effective! If you are brave enough, you can try it after a week that it's been there.

Whatever I can't drink I just snort. . .seriously though I throw it in the compost heap. I don't want to associate myself with bad coffee to a wider audience.
