All Nuova Simonelli needs to do with this machine is give it a nicer case. It's fantastic for the price and putting a nicer case + $100 would make it a winner.

I don't think this works on the older Oscars, at least my old Oscar doesn't seem to recognize these settings at all. Would be a nice function though. I just get more water pouring through the group!

They are nice HX systems, but I agree they could really use a cosmetic makeover. If you are a caterer and using one of these you'd probably be very happy with the plastic shroud though - it's not as hot as metal when carrying it at the end of a job.

It could be a feature on NS up-to-date Oscars, and it could probably be possible to mod an old Oscar if
you just find the correct spare part

Could the preinfusion feature just be for plumbed in Oscars?

It must be on the newer Oscars. I had 3 or 4 of the older ones and they didn't do anything like that.
The machines are solid which is good because getting the right parts from NS is a nightmare.
