Hello:
Alsina 300
Adolfo Alsina 300
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal
011 4331-7636
It's downtown, right off Plaza de Mayo and government house.
They serve a very decent lunch at affordable prices.
The coffee is Segafredo but the barista knows what he's doing.
Cheers,
CIV

Thank you so much Carlos !
A little out of my way, but I'll sure try it if I'm near by, or in a coffee abstinence crisis ...
Perhaps Bonafide, in Callao and Santa Fé (if it still exists), has a fresh Colombian blend, I believe Selección was quite decent (many, many, many years ago).

Hello:
From Palermo you have the 'D' line subway (Catedral Station) that leaves you right at Plaza de Mayo and from there you're three blocks away.
It's worth the ride to see Plaza de Mayo, the Cathedral, Government House and further on via Balcarce street (the joint is at the corner of Balcarce and Alsina) to continue on to the San Telmo district.
As you may imagine, you also have the Star$ alternative.
In any case, have a nice stay and thanks for the visit. :)
Cheers,

I live a couple of blocks away but never have coffee there (or almost anywhere, my Cimbali Junior and my EPs take care of my coffee needs). Bear in mind that Bonafide changed hands a few years ago and it is not the same as in the 70's to late 80's.bmb wrote: Perhaps Bonafide, in Callao and Santa Fé (if it still exists) ...
