After almost 3 months using my r58 at 8.5 bars, it is time to experiment. Adjusting the pump at 9 bars to increase the taste was not the solution. espresso is too strong and not very pleasant to drink.

I did the opposite, lower to 8 bars and taste is the way to go for my machine and blend. To avoid bland taste, i will increase dose and come back with my observation.

I would find it quite limiting if I had to pick a single pressure for the entire brew period.
