Sounds like a great purchase - if your primary goal is to assuage a guilty consumer conscience.

For coffee, I recommend a scale with 10X the range, accuracy and precision of this piece of, ahem, americana. And the ability to tare. And measurements in something other than pennyweight. :roll:

Yep.
Numbers such as 9.3 grams for my single basket is not something I can taste or enjoy.
My objective is consistent amount of grinds to pull consistent shots - numbers to 0.1? - not so much. Calibrated eyeball works.
Assuage consumer conscience? - perhaps. My intention as a consumer is to purchase quality goods. Made in USA, Made in Italy does assuage that consumer objective - no guilt.
Pennyweight scale works as an inexpensive brick on my espresso zen path. 10X pennyweight? - maybe later, thanks.
