As far as scaling, if you use 42 ppm water, you never need to worry about the brew boiler. On the steam boiler, if you aren;t plumbed in, just fill the tank with distilled and run the water tap once a week. There is no need, as far as scaling is concerned, to drain either boiler.

Thanks for clarifying that Jim.

Is there any benefit/differences in using distilled water vs ZeroWater for refilling/flushing the steam boiler?
