To me, the WDT has not once been about breaking up clumps. Simple because, My now gone Major, my Vario and my MXK, dont clump.
The WDT is, as the name itself says, a distribution technique. My Macap and my Vario can both be used without the WDT with great results, as can John and Jons Roburs, Jon and Jasons K30's and Bob's K10WBC. But, I, and them, are all people who use the WDT, either every shot like I do, or some of the time, like Jason. Why? Simple.
It works. Every time. Even better then Odeon Cologne.
I often call the WDT, the insurance policy for uneven extractions. And really, it is. Do the WDT, and you simply will not have sink shots. Even the best grinders out there, will give uneven extractions during the course of a session, or a day, or a week. And as infrequent as it may be.. using the WDT cuts the frequency done to as close to non-existent as you can be, without being non-existent.
In short, IDC what the equipment, the WDT is simple, fast and effective.
'Least thats how I see it.
