This is my first post so please be kind.

Setup:
Preinfusion: 7 sec
Temp: 204°F
20 gm of Redbird in a 20grm VST basket
Final weight of extraction: ~32 grams
Grinder setting: 2N

Total extraction time(incl. infusion) 22 sec
Time from when extraction came out of portafilter to when to stopped ~10 sec (extraction flow started @ 12 sec)
Displayed pressure ~ 8 to 9 bar

I know it sounds like to fast an extraction (i.e. grind too coarse),
but when grinder set finer (2J), taste was real sour
and now taste with this grinder setting, taste less sour and seemed to be smoother taste.

Questions:
Was this a 10 sec extraction?
If so, what should I try next? I know 10 sec is way too short.

Thanks

Exactly my problem with some La Colombe! So annoying. I am just blaming the coffee as being stale or something since Colombe doesn't put a roast date. But in the mean time I'm of course nervous about it... Can't wait to get another bean in the grinder.

Temp is 204 where? If it's at the boiler, it is too cool and can cause sour shots. I don't know for the BDB, but I would have to set my pid at 224 to just get 200 at the group head. Try upping temp and grinding finer.

When I Scaced mine I had a delta of about 4 degrees. I'm currently pulling Red Bird and have my BDB set to 197 and have a 201 brew temp. YMMV
