Practicing Latte Art with soapy water

Postby IMAWriter on Fri Oct 09, 2009 12:46 am

As a dedicated espresso drinker, my steaming and latte art "skills" are at best not so good.
I visited the FAQ page, and low and behold, this....
Learning latte art with steamed soapy water [video]

Amazingly well presented. Many thanks to Scott and Abe. I love that Scott NEVER forgets to remind his "pupil" to wipe down the steam wand.
For those here as clueless as I regarding milk skills, this thread is a MUST.
His machine ain't bad either.

Note:hope it's OK to start this thread, as opposed to responding to the old one. I just think the link above is representative of what is so terrific about HB, especially for those of us whose skills are unbalanced towards the "dark side."

Rob, I'm in a very similar situation that espresso has been my focus, and the milk has been secondary. But my wife has been asking me to make her cappuccinos "look as nice as they do at Kean Coffee"... I've never seen a video that demonstrates the art of latte-art so well. Thanks for rekindling this one.

My pleasure.
The resources here are tremendous, and I am guilty of not perusing them more, instead of asking redundant questions.
