PoPok Latté Arté

Postby PoPok on Thu Jan 21, 2010 2:24 am

Hi there! I'm new on the forum. First and foremost I'm a quite new Barista working as a barista for about 2 weeks ( actually training not working yet ) I'm french 19 years old I live in Australia for a little while then I'll come back to France, I didn't know anything about coffee before I came here and I fell in love with this job.

The Latte Art is really exciting, obviously the quality of the espresso and the milk is the most important :!: I need to improve my tamping ( find the right pressure otherwise coffee is bitter etc... ) my milk is not flawless ( tiny bubble, but you want macro bubble! ) my coach is teaching me well though

The topic of this subject is as fresh as a good coffee bean, I would like to have some feedback about my latte art I still have a lot to learn I'm aware of that, and I invite you to post your creation as well.

Here they are some pics of my latte art 2 weeks training so far( some of them are made with soap and water so don't get upset  )

WoW 1st Rosetta with Soap and Water how crap it is haha

Last one coz I'm a bit proud haha, Now I got the thing and how to diversify the rosetta, thicker, finner, the funny thing is I found it more difficult to do a rosetta than a heart, i'll try to catch this up!

Thanks for watching and any kind of critic is welcome, I'll try to update this regularly, and post yours! =]

The last rosetta is very nice! I have not been able to get leaves that fine yet. You can see a lot of my pours here if you are curious how fast it took me to learn.

We started pouring lattes about the same time. It's a race to see who can learn the fastest! Haha. :D

Your heart is beautiful! Your rosetta is just like mine, a tad too skinny but you are getting there. I believe with pratice, we'll both get there. Just hang in there!
