For most coffees, I prefer a brew ratio around 70%. Much higher => the flavor profile flattens; much lower => the body drops off. But the idea brew ratio changes with the coffee, and of course your personal preference.

My ratios are typically around 1/2.

As a matter of daily routine: I adjust grind as needed to get an extraction whose looks and time taste "right;" measure dose by time rather than weight; and pull the cup according to the appearance of the pour, rather than by how full the cup looks.

The last time I measured, an 8.2s grind netted a 17.3g dose which gave me a 36.7g double following a 27s extraction. It was a nice drink which suited the basket, the beans, and me.

You can use quantified measurement as an aid to brewing, but specific numbers shouldn't be a goal. Don't confuse them with quality in the cup.
