So I got a weird message on my YouTube page today, from someone named "Mischa", purporting to be from a German TV station that wants to use my latte art videos. Here's the entire message.
Hi there,
We're working for German DW-TV (Germany's foreign network that is broadcastet worldwide) on a new show about user generated content and one of the reports we're planning is a clip collection about coffee art. During my research I saw your clips on Youtube, which are really amazing.
Now we really would love to broadcast parts of these clips in our show and hope very much that your are interested in this idea. The only problem is, that we only broadcast clips in TV-quality which means that you would have to send me a DVD or upload the clips on of of the common sites like
http://www.megaupload.com.
Please get back to me and tell me what you think about this request, I look forward to hearing from you! Of course we would pay you a small handling fee for your efforts.
Warm regards from Germany
Mischa

I don't know what to make of this. Is it some kind of scam? If so, I don't really see the point, unless they're hoping to get me to provide personal information. If it's for real, I guess it's kind of flattering, though I don't think my latte art compares to many of the people who have posted videos on YouTube and Google video.
Anyone have any opinion as to whether I should respond to this?
