Hello guys,

I am new to the forum and have been a home barista since September 2015 and been brewing only on weekends extensively. I started out with a VBM Domobar HX Junior and Mazar Mini. Recently, I got a second setup which is a profitec D700 with a Compak E6. The 2 machines handles very differently. So I have been adhering to the 9seconds / 30seconds rule on my HX since its inception and things are fairly well. for the Profitec well..its kinda weird i wanna have the 9sec extraction and 30sec completion as well but at its fines grind to allow for 30secs completion, the extract is always 6secs. and if i grind it any finer, the completion will increase. So thats my paradox, please correct me if my understanding is flawed.
