Hello,
I am using a Bezzera Mitica and a Quamar grinder.
Using the blind filter the machine puts out 9 bar of pressure, constantly.

Now, when I grind about 18 grams of coffee, and turn the machine on, the pressure rises to this 9 bar, but drops after a few seconds to about 6-7 bar. I figured that I need to adjust my grind to be more fine. But when I do grind one stop finer, there is no flow for a long time and I get nowhere near the 20-25 ml of espresso in a shot of say 25 sec.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Rein

Read through this thread: Quamar M80e - grind fine level

Take a look at your burrs and see if you have the correct ones.

BUT...how is the espresso?

Do are you using a naked PF? You may be developing channeling giving the pressure drop.

Have emptied the grinder, cleaned it, used some pulygrind.
Refilled the grinder with some coffee; and it looks like it has solved the problem :-)
I also bought a naked pf; and no channeling issues :-)
Espresso tastes great again.
Thanks for the suggestions, sweaner and Bill33525!
