Been fooling around. Tamping is easy. But if I use less than 8 grams, I start to feel the metal

By grinding finer to keep a ~25 second shot, a different flavor emerges. Grinding finer and using more holes (double basket) and larger area is a different category in its class

I just did three shots using the double basket

double basket 8.11 grams; tasty. good but could be better
double basket 8.27 grams; very good
double basket 7.60 grams; interesting transparency but it does not impress. thin

The 8.27 grams was pretty good 7.6 grams was a mix of weak drip-espresso though it had more transparency

I love it !!

PS: If it means anything, I dial ~14 in my grinder, which has a scale of 0 to 60

The crema is not very thick but the flavor is good.
