Coarse grind AND a low dose - Page 2

I think I found what I'm looking for: an LM single basket. Looks like it could be dosed as a smaller double (=low dose) and has a smaller hole area than doubles (=coarser grind). It also has straight sides so it would hopefully not present the issue I face with my current singles when I said:

Espresso Parts lists the LM single with a weird photo (http://www.espressoparts.com/MZ_106), any one can confirm it's the straight-sided single?

Have you tried dropping your pump pressure? That's the only other variable I can think off.

Didnt I read somewhere that a lower pressure will actually run faster?

I still think that a pressurized portafilter is the way to do this.
Works for Krups, it'll work for you ;-)
