Chemical Backflush: Is pausing E61 lever mid-position helpful? - Page 2

I would suggest you adjust the microswitch. You don't want that pump running in the mid position. It is easy to adjust, there is a nut on the switch shaft, just loosen it up and the switch will adjust back.

After fully lifting it and running the pump, there is no position when lowering the lever where the pump stops but the pressure is not let out. The only "middle position" I can find has the pump on, but no water coming out.

On my Vetrano, nothing happens when the lever clicks into the middle position. Water comes out under line pressure just past the middle position. The pump engages a tiny bit later.

I looked into this while playing around with "manual" preinfusion some time ago. IIRC, it was not all that trivial to adjust the play in the switch.
