Cafe Creme in France = espresso + milk?

Postby LJ on Wed Jul 09, 2008 10:52 am

Hello, I just found this site, and havent really yet taken the time to read through too many posts-- that I will do today!
But here's my question. We just returned from France where I drank the best coffee I've ever had in my life. I ordered cafe creme, and sometimes it came with the foam on it already, while sometimes it was served very strong with a little pitcher of milk. Either way, the taste was indescribable. I want to know how to make this, and what equipment I need. Does anyone know, is this coffee espresso coffee with milk added?

I probably will find my answer as I spend time reading, but any responses would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, ordering a "café crème" at almost any cafe in France will get you an espresso with steamed milk.
