Anybody else own or operate a commercial Bunn Trifecta?
I bought a used one from a cafe that was no longer using it. Picked it up for a really good price. Only had 300 cups run through it.
Got it installed and have been using it but its a bit quirky.

First off theres no power switch, plugged in its on, unplugged its off. Not really sure if its meant to be turned off or not.
I have mine on a remote switch so that I can turn it on and off. Sent Bunn some questions about this but never heard back.

Second...it seems to be different everytime you turn it on.
It has two temperature settings in its menus. One is a idle temp where its supposed to keep the water temp in the boiler and the other temp is the brew temp that its supposed to ramp up to when you brew a cup.
I live at 4500 ft so water boils at a much lower temp here so I set the idle temp to 195, and have been trying to set the brew temp to around 200. Sometimes it boils over constantly. Like its completely ignoring the idle temp. The only way to get it to stop boiling over is to lower the brew temp way down. Like I said its different everytime you turn it on. Sometime I can have the idle at 195 and the brew at 200 and its fine. The next time, its boiling over.

Its flow meter is sometimes Inconsistant too. Sometimes it will brew way short and sometimes it brews perfect.
This usually functions more correct than not, but it does happen sometimes that your first brew cycle will be less than the desired amount.

Just wanted to see if anybody else has one of these or has been around one enough to know if they're all quirky, or just mine...

I'd suggest calling Bunn. At least with the home version, I heard that customer support was helpful.

I had an extremely memorable coffee from one at Portola when I was staying in Costa Mesa.

Because I bought it used they (Bunn) dont seem to concerned with my inquires. Ive written them twice, to their specific Trifecta specialist and have heard nothing in return. :(

^^^ Calls always got me a quicker response than emails, but that was in reference to the home version. You might try reaching out to some of the Trifecta users on CG (link). Sorry to hear about the trouble you're having.
