One week. Will scrum for shops but open to your suggestions.

Lots of cafes; lots of Illy. Had machiato that got served as cortado. Ceramic unless you say baso/glass.

Bialetti in home with some Spanish blend with clear robusta. Holy Hannah.

Near the Ramblas and Catalunya Plaza but only open weekdays and not weekends when we were there last year. Somehow on the current website I cannot find the store address and hours.

We very much enjoyed Cafè Caracas near La Ramblas close to the ocean.

I'd say it was the best espresso we had in Barcelona. It's a really cool 'Retro' cafe.

Address: Carrer de l'Hostal d'en Sol, 12, 08002 Barcelona, Spain

Unable to hook up with rec. Shops due to time and visits elsewhere.

After 5 days in Barcelona, I have turned into a kilo pre-ground Illy can. Such is life...

Off to monastery at Montserrat.

Home again. Nothing like your own bed and vacpot of your own roasted coffee.

Best cup I had in Europe? Tim Wendelboe's in Norway. 2nd place? Nice restaurant in Monserrat Monastery, 45km, up above Barcelona. Kitchen was soley responsible for the coffee so I didn't see the prep equipment. Very balanced cup of Colombia <?>. Right strength, right temp, right qualiity. 3rd place? A ton of Illy preps.

4th place? The Evergood Coffee on my wife's cousin's Siemens machine that seemed to heat the water to a sufficient temp. I took an unmerciful teasing about 67g per liter of coffee. (http://www.evergood.no/gullfilmen-2015-til-evergood/). Morgan Freeman used to be my favorite actor <grins>. 5th place? The robusta blend on our stove in a Spanish Bialleti knockoff.

Satans Coffee Corner

Nomad Coffee Lab
Passatge Sert, 12, 08003 Barcelona, Spain

True Artisan Cafe

Theres so much coffee in this city and so much of if junk. But I can truly vouch for these spots. True Artisan was our favorite. Beautiful city.

Fully agree.

If anyone wants ideas on what to see in Barcelona, give me a shout offline via PM. By all means, grab the tourist transportation tickets where you can ride any public bus or the subway for __ days. Great system; easy to get anywhere.
